You forgot to mention the communist party intel cells that stand accused of hacking all the western component suppliers post-sale. Honest, hardworking engineering firms who thought all the warnings about China were just racism and gave the CCP a chance. They may soon end up losing their whole businesses as they get "replaced" by state-subsidised Chinese copycats.
Funny that you forgot to mention all that... especially as a Confucius-institute-sponsored graduate. Maybe study some Mengzi too 从来没有一个人能够让自己能够让别人伸直
Anyway, enjoyed the explainers on plane size and thought the tone of the article was really nicely judged. Have a great time in China and get out before that weird "westerners on a pedestal" thing that they have out there goes to your head.
Thank you for your comment. I tried to share my perspective in an objective manner but, of course, it is still only my perspective. Maybe in a future article I will write in regards to hacking, or institutional sponsored internet commenters like the "Wumao Party".
Being a Confucius Institute graduate was an enriching experience, one that I am proud of, but also aware of the reports regarding it. What I can say is that the chapter in Lisbon has always worked in an exemplary way to help its students
